The Mercedes Benz C63 AMG was recently revealed at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. Just when we thought that was the end of it, a sedan version also came into focus, as it was spotted while undergoing rigorous testing on the Nurburgring. So what’s next?
Well, Piston Heads user Tuvra has just released a couple of rendering of what the convertible Black Series might look like, and we have to say that we’re impressed. Visually, the new high-performance vehicle is reminiscent of the SLS AMG GT3 customer sports car.
The set of 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels painted titanium gray have been kept, while the body has been switched to an anthracite tone for that menacing look.
Should Mercedes ever decide to make such a radical convertible, it would be powered by a 6.3-litre V8 AMG engine developing 517 hp and 620 Nm (457 lb.ft.) of torque, and coupled with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission.
