Mercedes-Benz Shows Us How It Bashes its Cars During Testing

In case you’ve ever wondered just how fat automotive producers push their cars during the testing phase, Mercedes-Benz now wants to offer an answer. This comes in the form of the adjacent video, which has just been released by the automaker’s US division.
From simulating Death-Valley-like temperatures to driving the cars through deep water, these guys do it all, just to make sure that the vehicles perform well once they reach the showroom.

The video below shows various types of simulation torture, as well as flogging that takes place in the real world - just look at how the pilot that’s drifting the car at the end of the clip! Sure, all these scenes are carefully orchestrated, but believe us, if they could split the atom for car testing purposes, they’d do it.
