Mercedes Benz Offers 2 Year Service for Used Cars

The UK division of German manufacturer Mercedes Benz announced it will hold an Approved Used event, for vehicles across the range, between 10 and 18 October. Loosely translated, the manufacturer will offer a 2-year service plan for those who will purchase a used Mercedes Benz during the aforementioned period.

“The Approved Used scheme enables customers to purchase a used Mercedes-Benz with the reassurance that the vehicle has been fully prepared by Mercedes-Benz. Nobody can prepare a Mercedes-Benz vehicle like Mercedes-Benz,” Phil Parry, Mercedes Benz sales development manager said when announcing the incentive.

The service plan is built on the 2 years or 24,000 miles warranty and must be carried out at a Mercedes-Benz Official Workshop. It includes all routine maintenance, labor, lubricants and parts, but it does not include MOT test fee for vehicle older than three years.

The manufacturer says every Approved Used vehicle has to undergo a full multi-point check, as well as a full mileage and vehicle history check. The used vehicle get mileage warranty of their own, for 12 months. Additionally, customers have the choice to change their minds and return the car in 30 days or after 1,000 miles.

The announcement of this latest incentive comes after last month Mercedes Benz announced the introduction of the "Fixed Price Repairs" programs in the UK. Covering the A-Klasse, B-Klasse, C-Klasse, CLC-Klasse and E-Klasse, regardless of the model year, the program will allow for fixed price replacement parts and fitting service.
