As some of you might know already, Singapore is one of the most developed states on the planet, being seen by many as one of the “Four Asian Tigers”.
Essentially more of a city-state than a “regular” country, it has one of the healthiest economies and most well-payed citizens in the world.

They are apparently doing so well that the car maker which sold most cars during 2013 in the highly-taxed state is none other than... Mercedes-Benz.

The three-pointed star managed to not only outsell its BMW and Audi rivals in Singapore, but also popular cars makers such as Toyota, who only came in third in numbers of vehicles sold.

The actual number of cars is obviously pretty low, for a number of reasons, with Mercedes-Benz selling a total of 3871 new cars compared with 3730 BMWs and 3459 Toyotas, but the fact remains: the Stuttgart car maker sells more cars in Singapore than any other brand.
