On Valentine's Day, Mercedes-Benz introduces the G-Class Stronger Than Diamonds Edition with real diamonds on board. Only 300 such precious examples will roll off the production line.
The limited-run version is based on the Mercedes-Benz G500 and is promoted in the campaign titled "A love that lasts forever. Stronger than diamonds," set to run on all social media channels. Back in 2017, with the launch of the latest generation, Mercedes ran a campaign with a similar title: "Stronger than time." In 2019, the automaker launched the Stronger Than Time Edition.

The Germans claim that the new special edition is a highly desirable Valentine's gift. Who are we to argue? As precious and sophisticated as it sounds, the G-Class special edition makes no compromise on rough terrain. It is equipped with three lock differentials, has all-wheel drive and the impressive ground clearance that make it invincible in the off-road.

However, covering all the technicalities is the Manufaktur rosewood grey mango, a paintwork developed exclusively for this special edition. And predictably, considering the designation of the limited run, there are 25-carat diamonds set into all four stainless steel door locking pins. An embossed diamond logo shows up on the exterior handles.

Something else that highlights the exclusivity of the model is the silver badge on the reverse, displaying the name of the special edition along with the diamond insignia. There is Manufaktur black nappa leather on board, with contrasting stitching in rose. Deep-pile mats cover the floor of the vehicle.

There is an illuminated grab handle on the passenger side, and there are illuminated entry sills in stainless steel with the Stronger Than Diamonds badge.

The vehicle is sold in the company of a black indoor car cover in the exclusive Stronger Than Diamonds design. The customers who drive the exclusive G-Class home also receive a certificate from the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), which confirms that the diamonds originate from ethically, socially, and ecologically responsible sources.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class starts at 175,000 euros in Germany, which is the equivalent of $187,296. Those who want to see it before they order it must know that it is on display in Studio Odeonplatz by Mercedes-Benz in Munich from February 14 until March 2.

The figures of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class Stronger Than Diamonds Edition

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class Stronger Than Diamonds Edition is based on the G 500, which is the next best thing to the AMG variant. The vehicle is powered by the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine, which pumps out 416 horsepower (422 metric horsepower) and 449 pound-feet (610 Newton meters) of torque.

A nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission puts the power down with the help of a four-wheel drive system, while three lock differentials provide the necessary traction on rough terrain.

The off-roader does 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 5.1 seconds, runs the quarter mile in 13.8 seconds, and hits a top speed of 134 mph (215 kph).
