Mercedes-Benz Expects 2013 Production Record

With record-breaking sales all over the world come record-breaking responsibilities, someone once said. Or maybe no one said that and we just butchered a similar quote.

Either way, one thing is certain, Mercedes-Benz is on a roll in 2013 in terms of both sales and production, with all major markets beating all-time records from this point of view.

With 2013 being the third consecutive year that the three-pointed star has beaten the production numbers from previous years, it seems that no less than 1.49 million vehicles will be manufactured by the end of the year.

“With this production record, Mercedes-Benz is setting yet another benchmark. This attests to the good customer response to our products. We will continue to grow with our attractive offering of models - and will be able to accommodate the demand thanks to our high flexibility and the quality of the team.” said Andreas Renschler, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG responsible for Manufacturing and Procurement Mercedes-Benz Cars and Mercedes-Benz Vans.

All the plants in the Mercedes-Benz production network are working at high capacity this year, with the Stuttgart brand selling no less than 1,322,500 passenger cars year-to-date and having already reached the sales volume of last year with an entire month to go.
