The price performance of the Mercedes-Benz Classic Index (MBCI) have showed a fall of 4.7 points (-3.37 percent) in November 2013, a slight decrease compared to the index at the end of October, when it had showed a rise of 11.51 points (8.93 percent).
The fall can be attributed to the slightly weaker prices for three examples of the SL lineage, in the shape of the Mercedes-Benz 190 SL (W121), 280 SL (W113) and the legendary 300 SL (W198).
All in all, the index decline shouldn't be interpreted as a trend, especially taking into account the major growth seen over the full year, with the MBCI increasing by no less than 21.55 percent since the beginning of 2013 and a record 35.71 percent since the end of December 2011.
Some of the most in demand classic Mercedes-Benz cars in recent times have been the Coupes of the W111 model series, with prices exceeding 100,000 Euros on a regular basis for good examples.
