Being highly illusive in the last few months when it comes to public appearances, a number of upcoming Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet (A205) pre-production prototypes have recently started reappearing, confirming once again what we have been telling you guys since last Fall.
So far we know that the newly-released C-Class will have at least four different body styles, with the sedan to be accompanied in the next couple of years by the usual station wagon variant, but also by a coupe and the aforementioned convertible version.
After a pause of a few months since the last news about the C-Class Cabrio (A205) came into the spotlight, we showed you a video of a camouflaged prototype last week, and now it's time to see yet another batch of spy photos depicting two different and heavily body-armored convertibles.
While most design details are obviously hidden thanks to the exaggerated camouflage, you can still see the proportions of the car and the rather low luggage compartment line seems to signal that the model will have a very different design compared with the recently-launched sedan version.
If we were to speculate, we would say that the stylistic departure compared with the sedan will be as abrupt as the one that the gorgeous S-Class Coupe (C217) has compared with the four-door Sonder Klasse.
Engine and technology-wise, it is expected that the C-Class Cabriolet will share most of its features with the W205, including an optional Airmatic suspension and an AMG variant.
As far as exclusive features go, apart from the already-confirmed AirScarf neck-heating system, we suspect that the revolutionary AirCap anti-draught system might trickle down to the model from the E-Class Cabriolet (A207).
