Back in October we showed you yet another confirmation that a convertible version of the recently-launched Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205 is coming via a door panel image which showed an Airscarf button.

Almost six moths later, with Mercedes-Benz keeping their pre-production prototypes hidden from view, a German spy videographer managed to catch a heavily camouflaged model somewhere near the Mercedes-Benz testing center in Sindelfingen.

Despite being covered in body armor to keep most of its design details far from prying eyes, we know for sure that the C-Class Cabriolet A205 will use a soft top not unlike the current E-Class Cabriolet A207, from which it will also borrow the neck-heating Airscarf system and (possibly) the ugly but efficient AirCap system.

We are expecting the model to be unveiled sometime next year, with the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show being a distinct possibility for its launch venue. The C-Class Cabrio A205 should make use of most of the engines to be found under the hood of the C-Class sedan version, with a C 63 AMG Cabrio should also appear for the very first time.
