Mercedes-Benz and Pebble Team up For CES 2014

The Stuttgart car maker recently announced that it has joined a strategic partnership with the smartwatch-maker Pebble Technology, and so it happens that it's just in time for the 2014-edition of the largest consumer electronics show in the world, also know as CES.

At their CES booth, Mercedes-Benz will apparently demonstrate how an intelligently-networked vehicle – which will most likely be an S-Class W222, but we could be wrong – can “become a part of the Internet of things”, whatever that means.

In less wooden marking words, the Pebble smartwatch – which is pretty much a wearable screen for your smartphone – will also be able to unlock some interesting features from the car it “connects” with.

For this reason, Mercedes-Benz have reworked their Digital Drive Style app so that it can communicate with Pebble smart watches.

As an example, when away from their Mercedes-Benz, Pebble smart watch owners will be able to check their watch for info like fuel level, door-lock status and even their car's location, with plenty of other features to be unlocked in the nearby future.
