New S-Class W222 Wins Connected Car of The Year Award

The result of a survey conducted among more than 320,000 combined readers of both Auto Bild and Computer Bild says that the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222 is more high-tech than any other car in the world.
On top of that, the three-pointed star brand was awarded three more prizes in the infotainment category, with the Digital DriveStyle App winning in the “Best Navigation” category, the Comand online system in the “Best Internet Integration category” and the “Best Entertainment/Multimedia” category.

The Mercedes-Benz “Intelligent Drive” arrays of systems was given the “Best Safety Assistance System”, while the ground-breaking Magic Body Control was voted as the “Best Comfort Assistance System”.

The 2006-introduced Advanced Emergency Braking System was awarded by the journalists of the two “Bild” magazine with the “Pioneer Awards”.

Thomas Webber, member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG responsible for Group Research and Mercedes-Benz Cars Development, will receive the “Connected Car of the Year: award on January 7, 2014, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
