We can't remember the last time when we came across a tug of war adventure taking place in the middle of the city. Well, if memory doesn't serve us, we can turn to... Instagram.
And that's because a piece of footage documenting the infamous pulling battle recently showed up on the said social media, with this brawl taking place in an urban landscape.
As if that wasn't spicy enough, the offroading machines that take part in this tarmac battle are not the usual suspects. And that's because we're talking about a Toyota FJ Cruiser and a Mercedes-AMG G63.
That's right ladies and gentlemen, somebody put an Affalterbach-massaged Gelandewagen to this kind of work.
Truth be told, this battle seems anything but fair, since the G Wagon is superior in pretty much any way. From the chunkier nature of the car to the twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 heart of the machine (the Toyota is animated by a V6 mill), the German packs plenty of aces up its sleeve.
Then we have the tire confrontation. As anybody who knows a thing or two about cars is well aware, the rubber can make all the difference in the world.
Well, if the two SUVs were fitted with their standard tires, it means the road units of the G63 easily delivered more grip than the all-terrain tires of the FJ Cruiser. Oh, and let's not forget that the G-Class comes with three diffs that can be manually locked, even in Mercedes-AMG trim.
