The Mercedes 190 E EVO II is celebrating its 25th anniversary this month, a special occasion that Mercedes Reporter couldn’t just let pass by. So they compared it to the new Mercedes-Benz C 350 e model.
The clash between modern and classic has yet another iteration, this time coming from Mercedes Reporter, as the Mercedes 190 E 2.5 EVO II met its state-of-the-art rival, the brand new Mercedes-Benz C 350 e.

You’re right, they really are two cars from two different eras but we wouldn’t mind seeing more such models being brought side by side, especially from other brands like BMW, Porsche and so on.

They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks and this applies to the 190E. But boy, that car doesn’t need new tricks and that’s that. It already has a 235 HP four-cylinder engine capable of giving goosebumps and a through-the-roof heart rate when pushed to its limits, not to mention the sporty body kit that makes it look like a Yakuza member wearing a suit.

The Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5 16V Evolution also won a DMT race with a woman behind the wheel, securing a place in motorsport history. Mercedes only gave 502 such models to the world, which makes the car even more special.

In the opposite corner, the Mercedes C 350 e is that fancy-schmanchy type of car, equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain delivering 275 HP and a hefty 600 Nm (442.5 lb-ft) of torque. It also has the latest technical gimmicks, including the 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission and air suspension and whatnot.

Now, no matter the verdict, you shouldn’t take any remarks personally since a comparison between these two models would be futile. However, one should really enjoy seeing these two opposites together, which is exactly what we want you to do while watching the video below.
