Based on the multi-award winning N54 engine, the updated N55 unit is more eco-friendly and just as good. That's why BMW decided to fit it on as many cars as possible, even the huge BMW E71 X6.
The xDrive35i model comes fitted with the 3-liter turbocharged engine under its bonnet, 306 HP and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque and a somewhat common sound. The guys from Meisterschaft are now offering an alternative to that sound.
They created 2 different models: the GTS Performance Exhaust System and the GTC one. The latter has electronically controlled valves that can change the tune of your exhaust depending on your mood.
As for the size of the pipes, you can choose between a 2x102mm (4 in.) tip style model and a 4x83mm (3.26 in) style one. Closing the valves is done through a switch installed inside the cabin or an optional wireless remote.
