Remember DP Customs and their wacky large-scale bike design contest? Well, the battle is over and we present you the winner design: the Martini Racer bike, creations of Portuguese Andre "Lude" Costa.
10 semifinalists have been chosen from the multitude of entries, and among them we were glad to see two guys from countries with a rather limited heritage in custom bike building: Romania (8th place) and India (10th place). This means that Del Prado bothers' idea has really set people and minds in movement and that is awesome.

According to a pres release from Local Motors, the "First place, and a $2,000 cash prize, will be awarded to Andre Costa (aka Lude) from Portugal, for his winning design, the DP Racer.

Second and third place prizes of $1,350 and $950, respectively, will be awarded to Oberdan Bezz (aka OBIBOI) of Italy for his stock car-inspired Talladega concept, and to Marc Senger (aka sixten), from the United States, for his 1960s NASA-themed concept, the DP Customs Lander. Fourth through tenth place finalists will each receive a $100 cash prize.

All winners will have the opportunity to exchange their cash awards for credit towards the purchase of the winning concept from Local Motors new online Shop. Credit amounts are $5,000, $3,500, $2,500, $350 for first, second, third and fourth thru tenth places, respectively."

The complete list of Finalists, including countries of origin, is as follows:
