McLaren Working on Ferrari FF Rival

McLaren is really out for Ferrari blood it seems, as not only are they readying a rival for hypers with a successor to the famous F1, but also a shooting break to challenge the FF.
But Ferrari built the FF not only as a GT, but also as a car that proud owners can take all the way up to their favorite Swiss ski resort instead of swapping it for an SUV. However, McLaren is mainly concerned with luggage space, comfort and seating, so we might not see all-wheel drive.

Power will come from the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, so expect the car to offer up 592bhp or there about. AutoExpress says it might be priced very competitively, somewhere in the region of a well equipped Porsche 911 (presumably the Turbo given the power output).

The McLaren shooting break could be ready as early as 2014. The good news is that they won’t bother with two useless seats in the back, instead offering plenty of cargo room.
