McLaren South African Sales and Service Handled by Daytona Group

McLaren Automotive, the maker of the new MP4-12C, and the world’s newest sports car company (until some guy from a random country decides to use a rendering to “launch” a new supercar) has announced the portal for its supercars in South Africa will be the Daytona Group.

The Daytona Group will host two sales and service facilities, one in Johannesburg and another in Cape Town, with the staff of the two locations being scheduled to receive special training session at McLaren Automotive’s headquarters in Woking, UK.

The sales of the MP4-12C in South Africa will debut during the summer of next year.

I am pleased to announce the partnership between McLaren Automotive and our new representative, Daytona Group, who are among the best in the car retail business in the region. South Africa, with its well informed, passionate car enthusiasts, is a key market for us. The extremely positive feedback we have received from potential customers is evidence of the country’s strong understanding of the McLaren brand and heritage. Daytona Group, with their focus on looking after the customer and strong brand management, is an ideal partner for us,” said Ian Gorsuch, McLaren Automotive’s Regional Director for the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.

Daytona Group will join McLaren Automotive’s global dealer network (35 partners) that will be responsible for selling an initial annual volume of 1,000 MP4-12Cs. As the company creates its complete model range of supercars, the sales target will be set for 4,000 units per year (this will happen by the middle of the decade).
