The biggest news comes from the engine bay, where the 3.8-liter twin-turbo gets an extra 25 hp and thus not only leads its segment, but moves one step closer to what the V12 supercars have to offer: the unit now delivers 625 hp.
This comes thanks to a new ECU map, which leaves the efficiency and the emissions at the same level, In addition to that, McLaren has upgraded the car according to feedback received from owners. Thus, the MP4-12C has been gifted with remote-opening passenger door, an engine sound control system, as well as an upgrade for the Meridian sound system and for the IRIS infotainment system.
