With more and more McLaren 720S owners taking delivery of their machines, expect to be treated with all sorts of shenanigans involving Woking's latest velocity tool.
The most recent example of the sort involves a 720S duking it out with a first-generation Ford GT. Now, as anybody who knows a thing or two about cars might expect, the Blue Oval supercar had to be taken down the aftermarket path before duking it out with the Macca.
In fact, we're talking about one hell of a modification process for this GT, since the thing packs a twin-turbo package. Supplied by Heffner, the kit takes the once-blown V8 motor of the Ford to no less than 1,000 hp. As for the scale footprint of the Ferd, the thing weighs in at 3,460 lbs.
Oh, and you shouldn't worry about what happens when the supercar comes across a series of bends, since its connection to the road (read: suspension, wheels and tires) has also been redefined.
Make sure you don't allow the 720S moniker of this Macca trick you into believing the thing packs 720 horses. Actually, as the dyno charts have shown, the British missile's crank output may go above 750 ponies, since it sits close to 700 hp at the rear wheels.
Since this Macca is basically the opposite of the Ford in terms of high-tech matters, it packs all sorts of assets, such as its uber-light construction, which allows it to tip the scales at 3,190 lbs.
Then there's the tranny difference between the two. While the Ford packs a good old six-speed manual, the dual-clutch of the McLaren 720S is incredibly effective, with this obviously playing a crucial role during sprinting brawls.
P.S.: The piece of footage showcasing this... quad-turbo stunt also involves a rev battle, but we have to warn you about the dangers of getting your hopes up.
