With McLaren only producing 500 units of the 675LT, along with just as many Longtail Spiders, seeing one of these velocity athletes going wild at the track can only bring great joy.
This is precisely what the piece of footage below delivers, showing us a 675LT playing on a wet TT Asen in the Netherlands. The highlight of the clip sees the 666 hp (make that 675 PS) sliding its way through a corner.

While supercars are supposed to drift, this turns into a big deal when it comes to McLarens since Woking machines come with an unusual setup for the rear axle.

While the rest of the go-fast world is split between various types of locking rear diffs, all McLarens come with open differentials to save weight.

As strange as it sounds, Macs turns to advanced electronics (read: individual rear braking control) to put their power down. With the early MP4-12Cs, this brought all sorts of issues when drivers attempted to drift, as the cars simply felt like they were working against the human holding the steering wheel.

However, the Brits have paid attention to customer and media feedback and now their machines are slidable. In fact, we want to remind you that, when McLaren introduced the 675LT Spider, Bruno Senna, Ayrton's nephew, drifted the thing in the presentation video.

In coupe trim, the 675LT is a beast that can play the 0 to 62 mph game in 2.9 seconds, while being able to hit 205 mph (330 km/h). The example we see in the video below comes in what we'd call a tastefully restrained color, namely Midnight Blue - do take into account that the video shows the hue on a rainy day.

Now that the P1 production has ended, the 675LT remains the fastest street-legal McLaren and while you chew on that, we're inviting you to hit the "play" button below.
