Upon introducing the 650S at the Geneva Motor Show, McLaren announced they’d be pausing the 12C production in order to make room for their new toy, whose owners were expecting delivery. Well, it looks like Woking’s efforts paid out, with the McLaren 650S having already been spotted on the road.
An example of the 650S was recently caught on camera while attending a high octane event in the Netherlands, with the presence also marking the first 650S in the country.

McLaren expects the 650S to make up for the bulk of its sales, with the 12C being left in the range as a more affordable alternative.

Called Cars and Business, the event saw the 650S being driven around, to the delight of the audience. The supercar was accompanied by a second McLaren, this time a 12C. However, in order not be left too far behind, at least in terms of the public’s attention, the 12C showed up with a custom exhaust system. Supplied by Slovenian specialist Akrapovic, this offers the 3.8-liter twin turbo V8 quite a soundtrack.

The two parade on a rather narrow road (something that’s found all to often in the Netherlands), so their drivers must’ve had quite an adrenaline rush.
