McLaren will publicly showcase the new 570GT in London for the first time, and they took advantage of the opportunity to release pricing information.
The latest model from McLaren will be unveiled at the London Motor Show, and it will start at £154,000, the rough equivalent of €197,000.
Mind you, the hefty starting price does not include any customization options available through McLaren’s bespoke division, but will get you the most practical car launched by the British manufacturer.
McLaren’s 570GT comes with the largest trunk space ever available in a model from Woking and boasts luxurious features and finishes. Furthermore, it has more usability in day-to-day driving, achieved through elements like a refined suspension.
The comfort-oriented trend is continued in the cockpit, where occupants find a full leather upholstery, complete with electrically-adjustable and heated seats.
Just like the seats, the steering wheel is covered in leather, and its position is adjusted electrically. After getting in, users will discover that the doors themselves have a soft-close feature. Once inside, occupants will unquestionably notice the standard panoramic glass roof, and the rear glass deck cover.
As McLaren officials explained, the Sports Series line, of which the 570GT is a member, was designed to reduce unwanted noise in the interior and provide as much trunk space as possible. McLaren seems to have created a genuine GT car with this version of the 570, and the designation should suit the model entirely, as a Grand Tourer should provide a mix of the features described above.
McLaren fans and customers should also know that they will have the chance to experience the 570GT in a convertible version. According to McLaren, the 570GT Spider will be launched next year. Naturally, we expect it to be even more expensive than the Coupe, as any manufacturer does with such body styles.
Before McLaren launches the Spider version of the 570GT, the Woking automaker must first start deliveries of the Coupe, scheduled for June 2016. At the end of this year, McLaren expects to have sold around 500 units of the freshly-launched 570GT.
