Last time we checked, continental Europe drove on the right side of the road, so when Mazda added the “European model shown” captions to this RHD car that’s supposed to hit the US market, they must have meant something else, probably refering to the land where the Miata is baught with pounds.
Either way, this is just their idea of a GT race car look for the road, and we love it. Have to say though, the pastel color plus black wheels look has been done in Europe back in 2003, but not overdone.

Getting back to the car, the Special Edition will have a steering wheel on the normal side when it makes its debut at the upcoming 2012 Chicago Motor Show. The only colors you’ll be able to have are Crystal White Pearl Mica or Velocity Red Mica.

Production is to be limited to just 450 examples, all featuring Power Retractable Hard Top (PRHT) and 17-inch alloys, both in black. The interior is also... black, and the mirrors are pink... no wait. This is probably why the car is known as the Sport Black Edition in Britain!

The powertrain has been kept pure and simple - 2.0-liter engine, manual gearbox and three stainless steel pedals. There’s also a six-speed auto option that we are never going to tell you about because you shouldn’t get it!
