The final act of the 2015 World Superbike Championship will be the third time when retired WSBK legend Max Biaggi gets at the helm of an official Aprilia RSV4. He made the official announcement via his Twitter account.
We still don't know how Aprilia made him consider this new appearance, but we can figure out it wasn't that hard. After all, Biaggi was third in Race 1 at Sepang, in his second, and back then, the last outing astride the RSV4.

And being able to finish a race in the third position at 44 is a sure sign that the Corsair still has what it takes to race shoulder to shoulder with the young guns.

The first nighttime race for Biaggi, ever

However, Biaggi's presence in the Qatar Superbike round will mean so much more than his third race for Aprilia this year. The two races at the Losail circuit will be the first nighttime races in Max Biaggi's entire career.

"We have decided, by mutual agreement with Aprilia, to take the trip to Qatar, which is the last round of the season. It is a night race, a novelty for me. I'm happy and a little excited because it will be a whole new trip," Biaggi confesses. Biaggi has taken part in four races this year and earned 36 points, sitting in the 19th position among the total of 32 riders who scored any points in 2015.

Given the novelty factor, Biaggi refrained from talking about his expectations, but we are sure he will find racing at night just as exhilarating as we find watching MotoGP rider opening their season and the WSBK ones ending theirs in Qatar.
