The Maserati GranTurismo Sport recently made its debut in London, with the carmaker holding a special event to introduce its latest model to the Brits.
Under the GranTurismo Sport’s long, sculpted bonnet, we find a revised 4.7-liter V8 unit that allows the driver to play with 460 hp and 520 Nm (lb-ft) of torque. In the driver plays his cards right, the coupe is sent from 0 to 62 mph in 4.7 seconds. This is the time for the MC Shift version, which uses a 6-speed manual robotized gearbox with a transaxle setup, while the other version of the car, the MC Shift Auto, which comes with a siz-speed automatic supplied by ZF, needs 4.8 seconds for the job.

Maserati showcased both models at the launch event, with the GranTurismo MC Shift in white (Bianco Eldorado) and the MC Shift Auto in the new Blu Sofisticato. The launch party was attended by over 350 guest, including VIPs such as supermodel and Maserati racing driver Jodie Kidd, motorsport icon Sir Stirling Moss, famous Italian sailor Giovanni Soldini, as well as Tottenham Hotspur’s Italian goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini.

The Maserati GranTurismo Sport MC Shift Auto comes with a starting price of £90,750 OTR, while the GranTurismo Sport MC Shift starts at £94,080 OTR.
