The prestigious Manx GP is a motorbike racing event which has been held on the Isle of Man’s TT (Tourist Trophy) Course since 1923. The circuit itself is very long at 60.7 km (37.7 miles), with towns and rural roads dotted along the way. The Manx is considered the amateur-equivalent of the more famous Isle of Man TT and a stepping stone towards it for aspiring riders.
In a recent announcement by the Isle of Man Government, it has become clear that the venue will be altered. After four months of research and consultation, the decision is that the focus of the event will shift towards a classic motorbike festival, with three of the five race events taking place on the Mountain Circuit featuring classic motorbikes. The event will also feature modern motorbikes and racing and also a reintroduction of the Clubman TT races.

In a nutshell, the event will become more of a nostalgia-festival of old motorbikes and various other crowd-pleasing actions which will assure its popularity in the future.
