Christmas has come and gone, but the funniest moments linger on. And this is one to tell grandchildren. A man dressed in a Grinch costume hit a road sign and a maibox with his Honda SUV. Nobody was injured in the crash.
The accident took place in Exeter, New Hampshire. The man reportedly lost control of his car in a curve. His silver Honda CR-V left the road, traveled across the loan, and eventually slammed into a road sign and into the mail box of a venue, The Word Barn. Now, several walkway lights, a honey stand, the sign, and mailbox, all belonging to The Word Barn, need to be replaced.

When they arrived at the scene, the police officers from New Hampshire were surprised to find the man behind the wheel in a Grinch costume. "This was certainly a unique situation. Officers never expect to arrive at the scene to find that an operator was wearing a Grinch suit," police chief Stephan Poulin said.

The driver had to remove his green mask to be identified. 31-year-old Jon C. Williamson admitted being distracted and failing to turn. His car sustained serious damage on its front end. The radiator grill is crumpled, the left side headlight is in pieces, somewhere on the lawn, while the windshield and the rear window on the left side were also cracked in the impact.

Ironically, one of the items belonging to the business was a sign that displayed the message: "Don’t drink and drive." An investigation is underway, but there is no sign of Grinch driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

According to the Facebook page of the business, the driver had no insurance. So, it won’t be easy for everything to be covered. Fortunately, nobody was injured in the crash except for Grinch's ego.

They also say that it was not the first time their road sign had been destroyed by a river. But it surely is Grinch's first hit in the area. It is obvious the green, furry, cat-faced creature is getting more cynical every year and does not stop at stealing food and presents, but resorts to crashing his car into road signs on people’s lawns.

Last week, we reported about Santa Claus driving a Ferrari 458 Spider in Geneva, Switzerland. Spotted at a gas station and then around the town, the modern Santa was wearing sneakers and a T-shirt, despite the very cold weather. He was also carrying a Christmas tree full of lights on the rooftop of his convertible supercar, which turned out to be a rental. Well, even Santa has to rent a sleigh every once in a while. He can’t trust that red-nosed Rudolf and other reindeer forever.
