Whether or not you are one of the lucky folks that had the chance to hit the theaters already, we’re pretty sure you too have been waiting for this moment. For 30 years, fans of the Australian post-apocalyptic franchise imagined how the vehicles would look like if 21st-century means of filmmaking would be used. That moment has finally arrived as Warners Brothers just released the Mad Max: Fury Road - Vehicles Featurette video and it’s truly something else.
Mel Gibson might be missing for the first time since the first installment of the famous saga was produced, but he did pass by at the premiere of Mad Max: Fury Road, on May 7th. The exact reason the movie producers decided to go without the Lethal Weapon star in the fourth installment is beyond our understanding, but they did at least feature the famous hero vehicle, The X-B Interceptor.

The car started its life as a standard 1973 XB GT Ford Falcon Coupe, a car exclusive to Australia. After 30 years, George Miller decided to use the same vehicle. It’s Mad Max’s image, and the fact they decided to use the same car is quite impressive.

Since every hero has an anti-hero, so do the cars featured in Mad Max: Fury Road. The Giga Horse is exactly like the movie’s director says in the video below: “It's the throne, it has to be the biggest vehicle”. Built out of two 1959 Cadillac Coupe de Ville and two V8 engines locked together in one shaft, this is the king of the apocalyptic jungle.

The list goes on with The War Rig, which is the vehicle they flee with across the Wasteland. Then there's The Doofwagon, which is mainly a massive stereo on wheels that keeps the beat of the villains’ army. Long story short, they built the vehicles just like they would have been done in the apocalypse and we love it.
