If you're an avid gamer and a gearhead then you probably know all about the upcoming Project Cars title. The video game is being developed by the team at Slightly Mad Studios and is supposed to be the best racing simulator out there.
Big words for a company that doesn't have all that much under its belt. Founded back in 2008, the most important games they worked on include Need for Speed: Shift and Shift 2: Unleashed, both for Electronic Arts.

There were also a couple more games like Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends or World of Speed but none of them were so big that as to create a huge hype around the British company.

This time, they're going big, and Project Cars might be just the right way to do it. Since they've been working on it for quite some time now, we're starting to expect big things from their final product that was already delayed a couple of times.

The latest info on the game says that the Lykan Hypersport will be offered for free within the virtual world for the fans. Considering the way things have been going, we reckon it's well deserved.

And what a treat it is! The Lykan Hypersport is an extremely rare car, valued at over $3 million. Only seven of them will ever be built, and each one will be special in its way.

The manufacturer, W Motors, decided to offer the customers the possibility of adding gems in the headlights as the ultimate luxury. They can be color matching the car's paint, and you get to choose between rubies, diamonds, yellow diamonds, or sapphires.

Under the bonnet of this beast lies a Porsche-sourced flat-six 3.8-liter engine with two turbos attached to it. The total output is rated at 751 PS and 960 Nm (708 lb-ft) of torque. Since the weight of the thing is just 1,380 kg (3,042 lbs) the acceleration to 100 km/h will take just 2.8 seconds, going up to a top speed of 385 km/h (239 mph).

Unfortunately, only a handful of people will get to enjoy this car in real-life. For the rest of us, there's always Project Cars. Check out the car in the game's virtual world via the video below.
