We’re just days away from the much-awaited Furious 7 movie hitting the big screen of cinemas around the world. Some lucky viewers even got to see it already at private events and the first reviews coming in are absolutely stellar, prompting Vin Diesel to even claim that it could win the Oscar for movie of the year. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here though...
During this last installment though, we won’t see just the hyped holographic images of Paul Walker but also a car that seems too good to be real: the Lykan Hypersport. For those of you that aren’t all that up to date with the latest cars in the business, here’s the downlow:

  • - manufactured in the Middle East by W Motors (it’s the first supercar produced over there too)
  • - plans talk about making 7 cars in total
  • - diamonds in headlights (or other gems depending on the car’s color - rubies, emeralds and so on)
  • - front lights made up of titanium LED blades
  • - twin-turbo 3.7-liter flat six engine with 750 HP and 960 Nm (708 lb-ft) of torque from Porsche
  • - top speed of 385 km/h (239 mph)
  • - 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.8 seconds
  • - $3.4 million price tag

OK, so it might not be the fastest, meanest and best looking car in the world but it’s pretty damn close. Having the third most expensive car in the world on the set was an.... interesting experience, as Vin Diesel himself says in the video below.

Furthermore, they got to thrash a replica around in one of the most action-packed scenes of the film so you know that this only comes around once in a lifetime. Maybe the guys filming the James Bond Spectre movie will also come out with a video like this, explaining how it was working with the Aston Martin DB10 for a change...
