Everybody has a dream car, but very few of us are lucky enough ever to afford it. Of course, it all depends on how high you set your standards, but in most cases they’re sky high - it’s why they’re called “dream” cars.
Funnily enough, with the abundance of studies around, there are none counting how many dream cars a man has throughout his entire lifespan. It all started with the supercar on your bedroom wall from when you were little, it then switched with your first race car crush and finally settled on a random unattainable supercar that caught your eye for some unexplainable reason.

For some, though, there comes a time when everything in their lives has settled in, the kids are grown up or their college fund is taken care of, they own their own house, have a good, steady income and not a care in the world. That’s the perfect moment when dream cars can become their cars.

This exact time has come for an anonymous dad and, apparently, a very loving father-in-law. According to a post on Reddit, he has finally gotten to that stage in life where he can make decisions without thinking too much about their future implications. That could mean a lot of things, but in his case, it took the shape of his dream car, an Audi R8.

You could say that there were better shapes out there to be had, but as uncalled for as that would be, we’re pretty sure it wouldn’t even come close to ruining the man’s moment. Now, we don’t want to get all mushy, but we’re also willing to bet that the gift he’s about to get from his son-in-law (who’s at least moonlighting as an artist, if not actually making a life out of it) this Christmas will go at least as close to his heart as the new car.

The artwork didn’t cost a fraction of that Audi super sports car’s price (he actually sells them for under $100, if you're interested), but it just goes to show how happy everybody around this man is for him and that they support him, and that’s more than any car could ever offer. I told you this was going to get mushy. Blame the rapidly approaching Christmas.
