Limited Edition Audi TT-RS S tronic Launched in Australia

Visitors to the forthcoming Australian International Motor Show in Melbourne will witness the unveil of the 7-speed S tronic TT RS, celebrated with a special limited edition model, of which just 45 will be offered down under. The limited edition version comes with $8,460 of additional value at no extra cost.

The package includes black exterior styling package, metallic paint, 19-inch 5-arm Rotor design wheels in titanium finish, sports exhaust system, adaptive headlights, BOSE sound system, extended leather interior package, and LED interior package.

According to Audi, the TT RS Limited Edition is available only with Audi's 7-speed S tronic transmission. This transmission adds for faster gear changes a high level of efficiency.

“Shifts are completed within just a few hundredths of a second, and are silky smooth and incredibly comfortable: there is no perceptible interruption in the flow of power,” Audi claims.

The seventh gear is configured as a high-geared overdrive which reduces engine speed at highway speeds, thus cutting fuel consumption. The TT RS Coupe consumes an average of 8.5 litres of fuel per 100 km on European combined cycle, and emits just 197 g/km of CO2.

The driver can also choose between two fully automatic shift modes, and a manual mode in which gears are changed using either the shift paddles on the steering wheel or with the selector lever.

In addition, the launch control function helps the S tronic Coupe sprint from zero to 100 km/h just 4.3 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h.
