Lexus ES Reaches 1.5 Million Milestone

Toyota luxury division Lexus reached a new milestone with one of its lineup models. The 1.5 millionth ES sedan unit rolled out the assembly line recently.
The not-sold-in-Europe Lexus ES become the brand’s most popular sedan, setting a benchmark for comfort and quality.

"Over almost a quarter of a century, ES has established itself as the benchmark for comfort, refinement, quality and undeniably high specification," said executive vice president of Lexus International, Mark Templin.

The milestone unit was produced just ahead of a restart of right hand drive production of ES models for Australia.

Recently announced, the facelifted sixth generation Lexus ES got new LED foglamps and HID headlights, available Bamboo trimming and NuLuxe trimmed heated/ventilated seats as well as the new Siri Eyes Free technology. Compared to the fifth generation, it also got a revised suspension, stiffer body structure and a quicker steering gear ration along with the improved airflow from underneath.
