Lexus’s hybrid compact, the CT200h has recently earned a five-star safety rating from the Japan New Car Assessment Program (JNCAP). The body has introduced new safety standards for this year, with the car receiving a total of 179.6 points: 92.31 for occupant protection, 83.35 for pedestrian protection and 4 points for being fitted with passenger seat belt reminders (psbr).
The vehicles comes with safety assets such as complex safety structure that uses multiple strong points, eight airbags, as well as seats fitted with the WIL technology that reduces whiplash injury in the even of a rear-end crash.
We’ll remind you that the CT200h has also been tested by the Euro NCAP, also receiving a five-star rating, with a score of 94 percent for adult occupant protection, 84 percent for child occupant protection, 55 percent for pedestrian protection and 86 percent for safety assist technologies.
