Lexus CT 200h is one of the main attractions at Toyota's luxury division's booth at the 2010 Sydney Motor Show, but the company has also prepared something new for the Aussie visitors. The so-called Lexus CT 200h F Sport is a special version of the car that comes with several new accessories but, unfortunately, with no improvements on engine performance.
However, the F Sport badge also brings a new suspension system plus new alloy wheels and a new Flame Blue exterior finish which is accompanied by tinted windows, thus providing a sportier and a more aggressive stance on the road.
A special F Sport steering wheel greets the driver when stepping in, while sport pedals, scuff plates and a refined instrument panel transfer the exterior sportiness inside the car.
The hybrid system remains untouched, so power is provided by the same Lexus Hybrid Drive technology, being capable of running on its petrol engine or electric motor alone, or with both working in combination.
The system comprises an Atkinson cycle 1.8-litre VVT-i petrol engine and a powerful electric motor that, in combination, deliver 134bhp, together with a 202V battery and a power control unit. The system is driven through an electronic continuously variable transmission (E-CVT). The engine is Euro V compliant.
In order to earn a five-star Euro NCAP rating, Lexus has fitted ABS with Brake Assist, Traction Control (TRC) and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC). Eight airbags are fitted, including knee airbags for driver and front passenger.
