Lexus’ latest safety technology pack now includes the radar cruise control, which makes highway traveling easier for you as a driver.
Unlike a regular cruise control that only keeps the vehicle at a certain speed, the one on the GS model here also scans the road ahead using a millimeter wave radar.
This will detect if there is a vehicle in front of you that travels at a lower speed and it will apply the brakes to your vehicle in order to match its speed with the car’s up front.
The Radar Cruise Control can also be set to follow a vehicle up front and can even stop at a safe distance when it stops. Moreover, the system will automatically resume following it in case it starts driving again.
