As most of you know, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team didn't have the most trouble-free first day of testing at Jerez earlier today, with Lewis Hamilton crashing his F1 W05 single-seater after registering the fastest time of the day.
With just 18 full laps of driving, out of which at least six were on full attack mode, the front wing on the all-new W05 car failed just at the end of the long straight at Jerez, causing the Brit to lose control of the car's braking power and crash into the tire wall at Turn One.
Thankfully, Lewis emerged unharmed from the car after the accident, with the team set to investigate the actual cause for the technical failure in the upcoming hours.
While Mercedes-AMG engineers were mighty fast in covering the car almost immediately after the crash, resulting in very few photos of the aftermath, it seems that at least two cameras where in the right place and filmed the actual impact.
