The great expected return of a new show starring the famous trio is becoming something similar to the “she loves me; she loves me not” game and it’s getting annoying to be honest. Instead, we could talk about what actually is a fact, not just a tabloid rumor. And this LEGO Top Gear set sure exists. As a project for now, but it could hit the shelves soon.
If you’re a Top Gear fan, you’ve undoubtedly heard of the latest rumor on the market. The word is that Netflix and ex-Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are in the process of signing a deal for a show allegedly called “House of Cars.” The name is obviously hinting at Beau Willimon’s huge hit based on Michael Dobbs’ novel. The series saw Kevin Spacey win a Golden Glove Award for Best Actor - Television Series Drama for his portrayal of Frank Underwood, the lead character.

Sure, the hint is quite smart and possible since it would be the second gig Netflix is sort of taking from BBC and making it better. Wait what? Yes, you’ve heard us.

House of Cards is an American adaptation of the BBC’s mini-series of the same name. If they create an American Top Gear and call it House of Cars, it would make for the second venture of the sort. But that’s a different discussion.

Before an actual show, how about a Top Gear LEGO Set?

What tickled our interest this time involves paying homage to the real show. Currently part of the LEGO Ideas program, a place where brick enthusiasts present their plans of what could turn into future official sets, it’s recreating some of the most memorable elements of the show.

Construction techniques include standard stud on top mixed with studs not on top (S.N.O.T.) Parts include a mix of standard, sloped, solid, transparent, technic axles and connectors, and hinges,” explains the creator of the LEGO Top Gear.

Are you fond of LEGO Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May? Vote for it and you might just get one in that Top Gear special part of your bedroom.
