With a starting price of €369 ($495), the Lazer Monaco Carbon is not the cheapest flip-up helmet one can find, by far. However, if lightweight construction doubled by the enhanced protection carbon fiber shells are important, then the price no longer seems too high.
In it's lightest version, the Lazer Monaco Carbon weighs in at only 1350 grams (2.98 lbs) and is most likely the industry's lightest touring flip-up helmet to date. Made from carbon fiber with a plastic chin bar, the Lazer Monaco Carbon sports very convenient photocromatic visor. The Lumino Photocromic lens will change shades according to the exterior light, shielding the eyes from high luminosity, is Pinlock-ready and can be exchanged without tools.

Despite being a modular helmet, the Lazer Monaco Carbon also comes with generous vents and extractors for an optimal air flow even when closed. Washable anti-allergenic padding is easy to remove and custom-size cheek pads can be bought, too.

The Lazer Monaco Carbon meets both DOT and ECE homologation standards and word is that it will reach the US with a slightly higher price (+10%).
