Laurence Fishburne Cadillac Ads Debut

Cadillac reborn, we're sure most of you will say after seeing the two clips below. The American manufacturer released this week the first two clips which advertise the CTS-V model, one of the brands latest creations.

As some of you already know, the new ad campaign is embodied by a voice to be reckoned with: Laurence Fishburne. The ads you can see below debuted during the Rose Bowl game telecast which aired in the first day of the new year.

The actor was brought on board to be the voice in the new advertising campaign designed by Fallon (winner of a Media Lion at Cannes in 2010 for the “Follow the White Rabbit” campaign created for Syfy’s movie event Alice).

The campaign, titled Red-Blooded Luxury, consists of two clips, one bringing the audience up to speed with the roots of the CTS-V model and the other announcing, loud and clear, that Cadillac is not at all the boring definition of luxury as we know it.

But we kind of knew that already. The car packs an LSA 6.2l supercharged V8 engine, borrowed from the CTS-V Sport Sedan, which develops 556 horsepower and 747 Nm of torque. The use of a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission with dual-disc clutch or a Hydra-Matic 6L90 six-speed automatic with paddle-shift control allows it a naught to sixty sprint of 3.9 seconds.

The luxury infotainment features to be found in the car include a 40-gigabyte hard drive, advanced navigation system with a deployable screen and Bose digital surround audio, as well as factory-installed Bluetooth phone integration.
