We’ve already seen the five-door version of the Range Rover Evoque as a number of leaked pictured showing the vehicle leaked on the Internet earlier this week.
However, Land Rover has used the 2010 Paris Auto Show to announce that the vehicle will make its public debut by the end of the current year. The official announcement was made by Phil Popham, Managing Director at Land Rover.
The company also released the first official image of the vehicle. We expect the car to make its debut at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The five-door incarnation of the car is expected to offer the same features as the three-door one, which means that we’ll be getting a rich list of goodies. But let’s see what this means:
• Surround Camera System with five digital cameras, including a reversing system
• dual-zone automatic climate control
• hard drive navigation system
• FM/AM/Sirius tuners, with single disc CD player with the ability to rip CDs to the hard drive
• rear seat entertainment package, with 8-inch (203.2 mm) video screens, digital wireless headphones and touch screen remote control
• keyless entry system
• powered tailgate
• adaptive headlamps with auto headlamp dipping
• heated windscreen, front seats and steering wheel
The vehicle is also expected to use the same engines as its three-door sibling. We are talking about two incarnations of a 2.2-liter diesel engines (these offer 148 and 187 hp, respectively) and a 237 hp 2.0-liter Ecoboost engine. The vehicle will be offered both in front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive forms.
