Fiat group is bringing a whole bunch of concerted Chryslers to the Geneva Motor Show. Two Chrysler 300-based Lancia Themas, both offered with the top of the range Executive trim level, will be parading down the Swiss catwalk, they say.
The most important of the two is the new Thema AWD (“All-Wheel-Drive”). The car shown will be powered by 286 HP 3.6L V6 Pentastar engine combined with e-shift 8-speed automatic transmission. This car will be available at dealers across major European markets starting next autumn for the Platinum and Executive trim levels.

“The innovative Lancia Thema AWD system automatically deactivates the all-wheel drive whenever it is unnecessary and without the driver's intervention to totally release the torque onto the rear axle. This maximises fuel savings while however guaranteeing the exceptional performance and handling characteristic of rear-wheel drive. Furthermore, the AWD system automatically switches on during the coldest months of the year, when slipping is detected or when the windscreen wiper sensors detect rain or snow, in order to optimally tackle poor grip surfaces,” the automaker says.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
