Lamborghini doesn’t release truly fresh models too often, with most of the company’s “new” developments actually being special editions. However, we are now in a time when the Raging Bull is chasing us as if we were attending the Pamplona Bull Run.
Lambo recently used the Beijing Motor Show to release the Urus SUV concept, after it had trademarked the Deimos designation (but without any details linked to this). Now, the automotive producer is taking another step down this path with the registration of the Huracan name.
This means hurricane in Spanish and was also the name of a god of fire in Mayan mythology. As for its potential real-world application, there are two versions.
First of all, the name is expected to be used for the upcoming Gallardo replacement, but Lambo could also save it for for a production version of the Estoque four-door coupe concept. The latter is the least likely due to the fact that Lambo previously said it would choose between the SUV and the four-door coupe and since the latter is now under the spotlights we can only hope the carmaker changes its mind.
