After announcing an extreme model for the automaker's 50th anniversary, Lamborghini is reportedly expected to unveil a front-engined car at the Geneva Auto Show in March.
According to Edmunds, the Italian brand is looking to take on the Ferrari F12 with a front-engine V12 GT, after company CEO Stephan Winkelman said that Lamborghini will reveal "something truly extraordinary" that won't be based on the Aventador.

A V12 GT Concept with front-mid mounted engine is not exactly what we would see likely to happen at this year's Geneva Auto Show, but we'll just have to way until next month to have the right answer. The last frond-engined Lamborghini, if we're not considering the Estoque concept or the utility LM002, was the Jarama, built between 1970-1976.

Otherwise, Winkelman admitted that Lamborghini is looking forward to Volkswagen approving the Urus SUV. "We would need to sell between 3,000-4,000 examples a year for the Urus to justify its financial investment, and I'm confident that we could do that. It's a decision they (the VW board) will, I hope, make very soon", said the company's CEO.

If given green light by Volkswagen, the Urus is expected to be priced between $190,000 and $250,000.
