Lamborghini just switched gears into V12 PHEV mode for its flagship supercar, and now the all-new Revuelto has more power than the original Bugatti Veyron – 1,015 ps versus 1,001 ps, which equates to 1,001 horsepower versus 987 ponies.
Of course, the Huracan successor won't come too close to that glorious threshold, but it is rumored to drop the bonkers V10 engine in favor of a twin-turbo V8 plus PHEV. Frankly, you can't put yourself in the way of progress, of course, but we are sad to see the glorious V10 soundtrack get retired in favor of a more subdued turbo V8 grunt.

Alas, no worries, we can still listen to the awesome tunes of the Huracan and its V10 symphony here and there. Yep, that's valid even in America and even at the local quarter-mile dragstrip. But there is no need to take our word for granted, as we have an eloquent example.

The good folks over at the racing-focused ImportRace channel on YouTube love drags at Island Dragway but sometimes also enjoy some Orlando or Bradenton action. The videographer usually resides in Great Meadows, New Jersey, but sometimes also goes for a quick roll race stint at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, or Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida.

However, on this particular occasion, we are at Orland Speed World Dragway in Orlando, Florida, to witness the rise or fall of a green monster – a Lamborghini Huracan STO (Super Trofeo Omologato) decided to show its track capabilities in a decidedly American setting. The street-legal track wonder showed its worth against several high-profile competitors, including an Audi (twice), an equally glorious Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, and what looked like an old-school sedan from the 15-second perspective.

However, none of them represented a real challenge for the Hulk-ish sports car – save for the Porsche – check it out at the 0:44 mark. Anyway, it was the first skirmish that proved the deciding factor in choosing whether or not this green Lambo deserved our attention or not. That's because the initial brawler was a menacingly dark-tuned Tesla Model 3 sporting a matte black paintjob, dark wheels, red brake calipers, and a big wing out in the back.

As such, we expected a nice skirmish between the Tesla and Huracan STO. Well, believe it or not, despite the better reaction time from the EV driver, it was actually a high-pitched roaring piece of cake for the Lambo – hence the absolute ICE versus EV destruction on the scoreboard: 10.93s at 132 mph versus 11.84s at 114 mph!

On the other hand, if you want to see an EV punishing everyone at the track, the second video embedded below comes from Bradenton with some roll races focused on a brand-new Lucid Air Sapphire. Allegedly, this was unit ten of the production roster for the 1,251-ps (1,234 hp) electric sedan, and it obviously wiped the floor with anyone who dared to oppose it.
