Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale Drag Races Porsche 911 Turbo

The Lamborghini Gallardo may have gone out of production now, but we still remember our time out with the LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale. This special edition, the penultimate special edition released for the Gallardo was a truly special experience and we are now bringing it back into the spotlights in order to show you what it can do at the drag strip.
The crew over at dragtimes grabbed to the keys to a Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale, with the first stop being the dyno. The Rosso Mars Gallardo was strapped to a Mustang AWD Dyno, with the results showing 509 hp and 361 lb-ft (489.5 Nm) of torque. Making use of a 15 percent drive line loss coefficient, this means that the Lambo has 598 hp at the crank, topping its official rating of 570.

The Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale was then taken to the Palm Beach International Raceway. Here, the Gallardo met a 991-generation Porsche 911 Turbo, with the two putting up a rather spectacular fight. The Lambo does have a weight advantage of about 550 lbs (250 kg), as well as a hp premium, but the 911 tops the torque comparison, while also using a more advanced four-wheel drive system.

You can find the result of the battle in the video below and all we can tell you for now is that the Lamborghini did a 11.34s run at 125.52 mph (202 km/h).
