Lamborghini and Pirelli have always been good friends. This wasn't the kind of arranged marriage only based on the two parts sharing their Italian nature. The automaker and the tire producer are extremely happy together and now they're showing us the latest fruit of their passion, namely the Aventador LP700-4 Pirelli Edition.
The Raging Bull is a master of special editions and for this one, it all starts with the two-tone color scheme that will set it apart from the standard Aventador, as well as from the 50th Anniversary model, the only flavors offered so far.

There are two possible visual paths here. You can have the upper parts of the car finished in Gloss Black, while the rest of the supercar can be dressed in one of the four available matte hues: Bianco Canopus, Grigio Adamas, Grigio Titans or Nero Nemesis.

On the other hand, you can order the Matte Black for the roof, mirrors, pillars and engine cover, which the rest of the body can be finished in glossy colors including Bianco Isis, Giallo Spica, Grigio Ater, Grigio Liqueo, Nero Aldebaran or Rosso Mars.

The technical side of the Aventador Pirelli Edition remains unchanged, but Sant'Agata Bolognese mentions "the special series is enhanced by exclusive equipment specifically designed by the Lamborghini Centro Stile." They do not offer any details on this matter though.

You can already order the special edition, being able to choose between the Coupe and the Roadster. You'll have to ask your dealer for the pricing, but you should know that the cars won't arrive until summer 2015. Perhaps that's a little advantage offered to the open-top version.

Still, after driving the Aventador and the Aventador Roadster, we'd recommend the first, simply because it offers a more practical package, allowing you to enjoy the V12 thrills for longer.
