Russian car chases involving the police usually follow a pattern: slow Lada cop cars, being left behind by some much more powerful car. However, in this video, the driver who is trying to flee is at the wheel of the same Lada Samara driven by the cops themselves - he is also highly-drunk.
The police attempt to pull the driver over at a set of traffic lights, as one car pulls up alongside it, while another car tries to block it from the front. However, the drunk driver manages to slip past the car which was blocking his path, and darts off with the police giving chase.
After a short, quick and very scary drive, the Lada driver ends up on some narrow alleyways, behind some typically-Russian apartment blocks, where he misses a tight right turn, and mounts a tree. Oddly enough, after the car grinds to a halt, two passengers exit the car, and just stand and watch, rather calmly, as a policeman drags the drunk driver out of the car, in a... typically Russian fashion.
