Lack Of Guard Rail on Highway Makes Crash Even Worse!

Virtually all highways we’ve seen, across the world, have a dividing strip of guard rail (or two, sometimes), which run along the dividing line between the different directions of travel. These guard rails are put in place, because if one car were to stray off its lane, and into oncoming traffic, the combined effect of two cars traveling at highway speeds would be so strong, that debris would be scattered over hundreds of meters.
In this video, shot while it was pouring with rain, the lack of the aforementioned guard rail is the main reason for the crash. Somehow, a car coming the other way fails to overtake properly, clips another car, but instead of stopping on its lane, by bumping into the guard rail, it wanders into the oncoming lane, and straight into another car.

This time the speeds weren’t that hight, but you can get an idea of how badly things can turn out in situations such as this one! Where are smart highways when you need them?
