KW Presents Dynamic Damping Coilover Suspension

KW Dynamic Damping Coilover Suspension on Golf VI GTIKW Dynamic Damping Coilover Suspension
The German KW suspension specialist is introducing a new adjustable system that offers the best of both aftermarket and OEM worlds. KW’s Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) features a new coilover suspension, which benefits from a three-way damper-adjustment button. The company has combined the height adjustability of the coilover suspension with the adaptive OEM dampening control offered by Volkswagen.

The driver can choose between three modes: Comfort, Normal and Sport. Thus, the development allows a vehicle to be driven in multiple road conditions.

The development by the KW engineers means that there is no additional assembly effort. The original strut will be replaced with the KW coilover strut including dampers. The KW strut will be connected with the original plug of Volkswagen by Plug-and-Play. The VW onboard-electronics recognizes the adaptive dampening system at once and regulates the wheel control valve within a millisecond area,” the press release explains.

The new suspension will be introduced at the Tuning World Bodensee, in Germany - it will be fitted on a Golf VI GTI, in order for KW to demonstrate its full potential.

For the first time the suspension specialist KW combines the individuality and quality of the own coilover suspensions with the comfortable dampening adjustment of an adaptive suspension. The new dynamic damping system, DDC, is available as a complete plug and play solution for the VW Golf Mk VI, Passat 3C and the Scirocco, equipped with OE damping control,” a company statement reads.
